Postal officials with the Caribbean District of the U.S. Postal Service remind local residents to plan for several changes in service related to the annual St. Thomas Carnival and parades:

Three collection boxes – all located outside the Emancipation Gardens postal facility at 5046 Norre Gade – will be removed for the weekend events starting on Thursday and replaced for business again on Monday.
· Emancipation Gardens Post Office will close until noon on Friday, May 3, for the annual Children’s Day Parade.
· All Post Offices on St. Thomas will be closed on May 4 for the Adults’ Day Parade. There will be no retail, also known as window service, or mail deposits available.

Those offices are:
o Charlotte Amalie – 9846 Estate Thomas
o Veterans Drive – 6500 Veterans Drive
o East End – 4605 Tutu Park Mall
o Havensight – 9007 Havensight Shopping Center
o Emancipation Gardens — 5046 Norre Gade

Regular post office operations will resume on Monday, May 6.
