Carlene Tumala Hodge died peacefully on Friday, April 5, at the age of 45.
She is the daughter of Sheryl Bernadette John and the late Carl Edward Hodge.
She is survived by her mother, Sheryl B. John; children: Jabaar and Jabrise MacTavious, Juniqua Hodge, Jaraea Richardson and Jamaar and Jamoi Arthur; granddaughters: Jestinee and Jáel Vasquez; fiancè, Shawn Henry; siblings: Jamel Price Sr., Iasia John, Latoya, Tiffany and Raoul Sewer and Alva Lake-Ambo; nieces: Chrissanni James and Dynasty Bass; nephews: Jamel Price Jr. and Jahlil Price; godchildren: Okeem Roper and Le’Nyah-Starr Thompson; great nieces: Caleea Campbell, Calesha and Calaeja Chamberlin, and Calani McMichael; and aunts: Ione Hodge, Lydia Daniel and Annette Barry.
She is also survived by uncles: Emile Daniel Jr., Bertrand Daniel, Everton Daniel, Franklyn Hodge and Mike Hodge Sr.; maternal cousins: Waleeda Daniel, Monica Francis, Gaspar Francis, Anthony Barry Jr., Curtis Barry, Kirsten Barry and Massinissa Smith; special cousins: Charlene MacTavious, Janet Meyers, Kesha and Lydia Ells, Leroy Francis, Dedica Cortijo, Kelvin Williams, Deo Forbes, Loreli David, Tameka Wheatley and Byron Blyden, Marita Smith and Nicole Friday; and extra special cousins: Mika, Masika, Yanique, Lynnique, Marla, Marlene, Mike Jr., Garnett, Frankie, Aaron and Karon Hodge.

The first viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 25, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home & Crematory Services.
The second viewing will be held at 8:30 a.m. followed by services at 9:30 a.m., Friday, April 26, at Wesley Methodist Church. Interment will be held at Western Cemetery No. 3.
