The Virgin Islands Department of Education, St. Croix District, informs the public that effective immediately the Arthur Richards Jr. High School and the Alexander Henderson Elementary School (temporarily housed on the Richards campus) is dismissed due to a backup of sewage on the school’s campus.
School buses will arrive at the school at 1 p.m. to transport students to their regular drop-off locations but parents may pick up their children at this time.
Lunch will be served before students are released.
Update: The schools reopen normally for Friday, April 12.
