Virgin Islanders have all heard stories about what is wrong at government agencies. But we hear less about the many dedicated government employees who go above and beyond the call of duty to help out. Do you know a teacher who took time after school to help out? Have you talked to someone at Licensing and Consumer Affairs who went out of their way to make sure you got what you needed? Did a police officer stop to help you?
We want to celebrate the public servants that keep on trucking despite a lack of resources, less than stellar pay and a difficult bureaucracy.
We want to look at hard working public servants but tell us about people in other walks of life too. If you know a community hero, let us know.
