DPW Gives Update on Moravian Highway Road Project

V.I. Paving Project

The Department of Public Works updates the project status and work schedule for the road construction operations along the Moravian Highway, Route 30.

The contractor, V.I. Paving, will continue to work in the westbound lanes in the vicinity of the Emile Griffith Ballpark, continuing towards the Frenchtown intersection. A concrete pour is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 21. This will address the necessary road reconstruction in areas within the construction zone.

More reconstruction will be necessary prior to moving on to the final paving of the roadway. Also included in this project is the installation of traffic video detection systems and median landscaping. As the project continues, ongoing lane closures will be necessary.

For more information on this and other current road projects, follow DPW on Facebook @usvidpw or logon to the department’s website.
