Police on Thursday arrested 56-year-old Angel Christian and charged him with domestic violence, the VIPD reported.
Acording to police, a woman whose name was not released in accordance with department policy, reported that a male acquaintance had assaulted her on Tuesday, choking and hitting her with his hands and a wooden object.
The next day police arrested Christian and charged him with second-degree assault/domestic violence.
The case is under investigation by the Domestic Violence Unit.
