U.S. Department of Transportation: Security Administration

The U.S. Department of Transportation has notified the Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA) of a new, permanent enrollment center for residents on St. Thomas and St. John to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card. The new office is located at the ACC Building No. 2 at the University of the Virgin Islands, No. 2 John Brewers Bay, St. Thomas. The days and hours of operation are:

Monday and Wednesday – 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

TWIC cards will no longer be issued at the Cyril E. King Airport’s security office, which was destroyed during hurricanes Irma and Maria last September. TWIC cards will continue to be issued at VIPA’s security office at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport Terminal on St. Croix by appointment only between 8:30 a.m. and 4:20 p.m., on Tuesdays.
