32nd Legislature Perma Plaque Ceremony to Honor Outstanding Virgin Islanders

The members of the 32nd Legislature will host a Perma-Plaque Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 23, honoring several outstanding Virgin Islanders at Government House, King Street, Christiansted, St. Croix.

The Legislature will bestow the distinguished honor on the following individuals in the form of a resolution:

Bill No. 31-0355 — honoring and commending John W. Tranberg Sr. on the celebration of his centennial anniversary.

Bill No. 31-0293 — a Resolution honoring and commending Stanley Jacobs for his outstanding public service and his pioneering and contribution in folkloric local music and culture.

Bill No. 31-0104 — a Resolution honoring and commending world-renown jockey Victor Lebron for his accomplishments.

Bill No. 31-0253 — a Resolution recognizing, honoring and commending retired Police Corporal Renholdt “Rookie” Jackson for his contributions and years of service with the Virgin Islands Police Department and his continued outstanding and dedicated service to the community and to the people of the Virgin Islands.

Bill No. 31-0321 — a Resolution honoring and commending posthumously Alvin “Alvin Gee” George Sylvester Southwell for outstanding service to the people of the Virgin Islands as one of the most determined, dedicated and passionate news reporter in the territory.

Bill No. 31-0187 — a resolution honoring and commending Julio “Maganja” Felix for his career achievements as an established professional jockey and as an idol for the Virgin Islands community.

Bill No. 31-0384 — a Resolution honoring and commending Maj. Gen. Renaldo Rivera for his distinguished service in the Army National Guard and the Virgin Islands Police Department along with his outstanding service to the community.
