Lydia Veronica Browne David of St. Thomas, better known as “Jean,” died on March 16 at age 74.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Ivan, Gerard and Cecil Browne.
She is survived by her husband, Eston R. David; son, Glenn Wyre of Alabama; brothers: Clifford Browne of St. Thomas, Recaldo and Derrick Browne of Nevis. Sister, Merlina Wallace of St. Thomas; grandsons: Anthony and Brendon Wyre of Alabama; granddaughters: Scra Core and Lydia Brownie; sisters-in-law: Florence Browne of New York, Leonora and Shirley Browne of Nevis, and Clemencia Van Heyningen; caretaker, Janet Hazelwood; brothers-in-law, Horace Wallace of St. Thomas, Etienne and Robert Van Heyningen of St. Martin; and she is also survived by: many other nieces, nephews and family members and friends too numerous to mention.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the viewing at 10 a.m. and the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 6, at Celestial Chapel of Hurley Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Eastern Cemetery.
