Police Investigating Death at Frenchman’s Bay

The Virgin Islands Police Department is investigating the death of an Iowa man who died  Thursday morning in the Frenchman’s Bay area.

According to police, members of the Major Crime Unit were dispatched at about 8:30 a.m. to the Schneider Regional Medical Center about a person who had been declared dead on arrival. The deceased was an unresponsive white male who was later identified by his wife as 44-year-old Jeremy Alan Kelly of Iowa.

According to police the death is not considered a homicide at this time, and is still under investigation by the Major Crime unit.

Police urged anyone with any information about the incident to contact the Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 or 340-714-9830, the 911 dispatch center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers V.I., at 1-800-222-8477.
