The Division of Personnel (DOP) has announced a new and improved initiative that improves the electronic handling of all its recruitment needs. NeoGov, its new Applicant Tracking System, will replace the current system beginning Monday, May 8. Founded in 2000, NEOGOV provides market-leading talent management solutions to streamline the recruitment process for government and other public sector institutions, according to a press release from the Division of Personnel.
DOP joins more than 1,500 federal, state and local government, universities and K-12 organizations nationwide, ranging in size from 100 to over 100,000 employees, that utilize NeoGov recruitment software.
NeoGov streamlines the hiring process and provides more information to job seekers by granting them the ability to track applications and create an account to simplify future job applications. Director Milton Potter has announced that the implementation of the new online tracking system will streamline its recruiting and hiring process; it will assist in creating a more efficient government. The V.I. Division of Personnel seeks to:
- Deliver a system that offers a user-friendly interface for both applicants and departments
- Automate the minimum qualifications process
- Reduce the amount of manual entries
Interested job seekers can still visit www.dopusvi.org to view and apply for positions within the government. Starting May 8, all DOP advertised positions will also be available on the nationwide NeoGov Web site: www.governmentjobs.com.
