Two Shot Dead Near CAHS

Two men were shot dead Monday night in Polyberg, near Charlotte Amalie High School, the V.I. Police Department confirmed.

The deaths were the third and fourth homicides on St. Thomas and in the territory since the start of the year.

The 911 emergency call center received the report of the incident at 9:06 p.m. Monday.

St. Thomas/St. John Police Chief Jason Marsh told VIPD Public Information Officer Glen Dratte the victims are both Hispanic males in their mid to late 30s, who had no identification on them.

As of 10:40 p.m. Monday, the identities of the two victims had not been released, and other information was limited. It was not known if the shooting was part of a fight, was a drive-by, or if some other circumstances occurred.

The investigation is ongoing.
