The V.I. Port Authority is asking motorists to be cautious driving the Cyril E. King Airport road because Public Works road repairs began Friday.
Work is expected to continue for 60 days, according to VIPA.
"Most of the work is conducted at night after the last major airline arrival and should not significantly disrupt traffic to the airport,” acting VIPA Executive Director David Mapp said in a statement.
“However,” he said, “the road conditions are uneven and we advise motorists to drive slowly as they travel along the road."
The airport road and the repair project are under the jurisdiction of the Department of Public Works.
