Police Charge Man with Arson

V.I. Police Department officers on Tuesday arrested 42-year-old Delanno Hodge Sr. and charged him in a fire that destroyed two vehicles.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the Contant area on a report of two vehicles on fire. At the scene they found the two vehicles, fully consumed in flames.

Units from the Hotel Company fire station were present on the scene along with the fire marshal and fire investigator. The fire was extinguished and deemed arson.

During the investigation, police said, they obtained video surveillance footage that resulted in Hodge’s arrest. He was charged with second-degree arson.

No bail was set for Hodge and he was turned over to the Bureau of Correction pending his advice of rights hearing on Thursday.
