Donald L. Collins

Donald L. Collins died on Monday, Sept. 5. He was born in Flora, on March 9, 1938, to Floyd and Mildred Imler Collins.
Don lived 38 years on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. He was in the household goods moving and storage business for over 50 years, selling his business, The Viking Corporation, in 2011, to retire. He was inducted into the International Association of Movers Hall of Honor in 2013. He moved recently to Atlanta, Ga., to be near family.
Don is survived by his wife, Sharon, of over 56 years; children: Dale, Debbie, Diana and Don; their families including nine grandchildren; his brothers: Harold and David Collins; and many other extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by his son, Michael.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 10. Burial will follow in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.
