DOH to Provide Free Immunizations to Students K-12

In support of children in the territory who are preparing to go back to school and in recognition of National Immunization Month, the Department of Health (DOH) will be providing free immunizations for the uninsured and Medicaid recipients to all children in K-12.
St. Croix – from 1-5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, at Sunny Isle Shopping Center.
St. Thomas-St. John – from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, at Walgreens Pharmacy.
In addition to the free immunizations, DOH will provide clearance slips and check immunization records in order to clear school registrations (free of charge). Appointments will be scheduled as needed. For those families with insurance, bring your insurance cards.
Free back-to-school giveaways will be available for all the children that receive services, to include book bags, umbrellas, lunch kits, binders, sketchpads, crayons, pencils, hand sanitizers and more.
