Morning Gun Battle Near Addelita Cancryn School

Nearby St. Thomas residents heard multiple gunshots and reported a "gun battle" near Addelita Cancryn Junior High School on Friday morning. There were no reports of injuries from the incident.

According to police, around 9:55 a.m., police responded to the area of Total Service Station in Altona after getting reports of shots being fired.

Officers arrived on the scene and found multiple spent cashing in the roadway between the service station and the school.

The case is being followed up by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Anyone with information regarding any crime in our community can call 911 or Crime Stoppers V.I. at 1-800-222-TIPS.
