Joseph DuCreay, a 19-year-old from Dominica, was shot and killed Saturday evening in the vicinity of Anna’s Retreat, the V.I. Police Department reported Monday.
It was the 12th homicide on St. Thomas since the beginning of the year, the 17th in the territory.
According to police, at about 6:04 p.m. Saturday officers received a report of a possible shooting victim at Annas Retreat. Arriving at the scene, officers found a black man in a green SUV. The man, later identified as DuCreay, had been shot multiple times, police said.
This case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Police asked anyone with any information about the crime to contact the V.I.
