Randolph Rabsatt, a 66-year-old resident of Ukle Gade, was shot to death Thursday in Savan, according to the V.I. Police Department.
It was the sixth homicide on St. Thomas since the first of the year, the eighth in the territory.
According to police, the 911 emergency center received a call at roughly 8:11 p.m. Thursday reporting an assault victim in the vicinity of Savan.
Upon arrival to the scene, officer’s found an unresponsive male victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds lying motionless on the ground. The emergency medical technicians who responded to the scene indicated that the victim showed no vital signs and pronounced him dead on the scene.
The victim was later identified as Rabsatt.
