John F. Smith Dies at 98

John F. Smith John F. Smith, better known as “Johnny Smith,” of Dronningens Gade died at his residence. He was 98 years old.
He is survived by his children: James “Frankie” Smith, Janice Smith-Varlack, Jean “Jeannie” Smith, Jacqueline “Jackie” Smith Wynter and Milton Turnbull; 31 grandchildren; special grandchild, DeShaun Smith; 69 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; special nephew, LeRoy Smith Jr.; many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention; extended family: the Smith, Norman, DeCastro, O’Neal and Flax families; as well as other friends and relatives too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, at Philadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.
The Native Son will depart at regular scheduled times for persons travelling from Tortola – Road Town at 6 a.m. and West End at 6:45 a.m., returning at 5 p.m. from Red Hook.
