Edmeade Finishes Tied for 48th at World University Games

Former Johnson C. Smith University golfer Johanen Edmeade has completed play at the World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea. Edmeade, a native of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, finished with a final round of 83 (+11) at the par 72, 6,868-yard Naju Gold Lake Country Club. In his first three rounds, he fired rounds of 84, 84 and 79, respectively.
He finished the four-day event tied for 48th overall with Ireland’s Sean Flanagan and Ukraine’s Maksym Poliakov.
Japan’s Kazuki Higa won the gold medal, finishing the tournament at 15-under par after a final round score of 66. Nicolas Platret of France took the silver medal with a 14-under par, including a final round of 67 while Natipong Srithong of Thailand took bronze, also finishing 14-under par with a 71 in the final round.
