Motorcyclist Dies in Collision

A man driving a motorcycle west on Queen Mary Road was killed Wednesday when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck near the Department of Agriculture.

The V.I. Police Department did not report the identify of the victim.

According to officers of the Traffic Investigation Bureau, the accident happened just after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Preliminary reports indicated that the pickup was traveling north on Upper Love Road when it collided with the motorcycle. The man driving the motorcycle driver died as a result of the collision. The driver of the pickup, who also was not identified by police, did not leave the scene.

The department said it may be able to release more information as as the investigation progresses.
