Sixth-Grader Jael King Wins Alfredo Andrews Geographic Bee

Alfredo Andrews Elementary student Jael King won the school’s recent geographic bee, according to the Department of Education. The win brings King a step closer to a $50,000 college scholarship, as he prepares for the National Geographic Bee to be held in May. About six students participated in the school-level geographic bee, according to school Principal Joan Claxton.
