Gloria Maria Torres Camacho of Estate Pearl died on Jan. 11 at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center. She was 85 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leocadio Camacho; mother, Irene Garcia Martinez; father, Innocencio Torres; and son, Leocadio Camacho Jr.
She is survived by her daughters: Laura Camacho Morales, Norma Violet Camacho and Ada Luz Camacho Encarnacion; son, Manuel Alberto Camacho; sisters: Maria Mendez, Mirta Martinez, Mary Torres and Inocencia Torres Garcia; brothers: Miguel, Inocencio, Jorge, Eleuterio and Carlos Torres; and grandchildren: Diana Suarez Garcia, Gloria Morales, Valenta, Cristocan and Candtobal Encarnacion, Julie, Dean, Joanna, Lizbeth, Leocadio "Puso,” Leah, Manuel, Emanuel and Debra; great-grandchildren: Jesus Jr, Shafeqah, Angeleen, Noel, Adrian, Amaury, Sahara, Brianna, JoVonna, Jose, Donovan, Dominique, Shinell, Diamond, Ahnah, Sheynaye, Jahlani, Sheynyce, Patterson, Sherelle, Dean Jr., D’Quane, Devon, Shenelle, Shantelle, D’ylon, Ayden, Leo, Junaary, Tatyana, Le’anna and Antonio.
She is also survived by great-great grandchildren: Ameer, Jayden, J’nira, J’zahria, K’sha, Jayla, Shani, Damareo, K’vone, J’kvor, A’Jiydah, Zanilah and Tre’Von; nieces: Olga, Lucy, Nydia, Luz, Celia, Sharette, Maria, Velka, Linda, Wanda, Yvonne, Julie, Yolanda, Magalie, Marisol and Mrs. Berrios; nephews: Miguel, Jose Jr., Luis, Raymond, Mike, Domingo Jr, Jorge, Evaristo, Carlos, Edwin and Honorable Magistrate Miguel Camacho; daughter-in-law, Sudrane John-Camacho; sons-in-law: Cristobal Encarnacion and Armando Morales; granddaughter-in-law, Shenett Thompson Camacho; special friends: Mildred, Gloria, Veronica, Shirley, Salvador, Rachel, Rev. There will be a viewing at 9:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Christiansted. Interment will follow at Christiansted Cemetery.
