Joseph Bruce Sr. of White Lady, Frederiksted, died on Jan. 1 at his residence. He was 83 years old.
He is survived by his daughters: Josephine Bruce-Wiltshire, Dawn Bruce-Fought, Tisser Bruce-Barthley, Debra, Magda and Margaret Bruce, Helen Miller and Bernie "Ras B" Greenidge; sons: Joseph "Feda," Wayne "Mato," Samuel "Malik," Denrick "Headache," and Kirk Bruce; adopted son, William Anthony; and grandchildren: Omara and Omar Vasquez, Malikisha W. Brown, Khalilah, Jhasiium, Oprah and Linton Wiltshire Jr., Camishe Lynch, Cheikh Hunt, Maliko, Shenique, Kadisha, Reasha, Halima, Danica, Rameses, Somali, Shanai, Jah Amon, Jah Zion, Irea, Jah Nyra, Jahlet, Chelsea, Kayden, Denesha, Quanisha and Quinton Bruce, Andre McIntosh, Marisela Soto, Sasha Greene, Twana Augustin, Gizell Barthlett, Angelo Thomas, Angel Carrion, Thamoyiah and Tasheem Blake, Najeem Barthley, Nequan, N’Joa, Nequisha Edwin, Michael Richards Jr., Takisha Allick, Kmandi Philpot, Shelet, Maurice, Shakima Greenidge, Jamal Lynch, Jahreem, Hugo "Synpee," Flusha, Jahdeed Greenidge and Masoy Henry.

A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, at St. Paul’s Anglican Church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
