Sisterhood Agenda held its 4th Annual Sisterhood Brotherhood New Year’s Eve Youth Extravaganza. It was held from 8 p.m. to midnight on Dec. 32 at Franklin Powell Park in Cruz Bay to promote positive, drug- and alcohol-free fun on New Year’s Eve and during the New Year. The free event was coordinated with the Virgin islands Police Department, V.I. National Park, V.I. Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation, and the St. John Community Foundation.
It was a night of fun and positivity in the park. Many goodies were distributed such as New Year top hats, feather tiaras, necklaces, flashlights, National Park glasses, T-shirts, snacks and much more. Each participate received a shirt sticker with a “Pledge to Be Drug Free.” The night ended with a ginger ale toast. Sisterhood Agenda thanks the following local event partners for making the event possible: Scotiabank, Drift Away Spa, St. John Hardware, St. John Insurance Agency, St. John Properties, Boyson Transportation, The Marketplace, St. John Dental, Bayside Market, PostNet and St. John Ice Company.
