Paddle the Park, a Friends of V.I. National Park standup paddle board event planned for 9 a.m. Sunday, has been postponed until 9 a.m. Nov. 9, Friends President Joe Kessler said.
“The weather is projected to be pretty bad,” Kessler said.
He said the forecast earlier in the week had the bad weather moving out by Saturday, but it’s sticking around. Expected thunderstorms, wind and heavy rain aren’t conducive to events in the water.
According to Kessler, anyone registered who can’t make the Nov. 9 event can get their registration fee refunded. “Or they can donate it to the park,” he said.
