Man Robbed of Vehicle at Transfer Station

Three armed men robbed a man dumping trash at the Mon Bijou waste transfer station Wednesday night, taking his pickup truck and wallet with cash in it, according to the V.I. Police Department.

The victim was not injured, police said.

According to the police report, the victim was disposing of trash about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday when three men, armed with handguns, approached and demanded his money and keys, which he gave them.

The suspects then got into the victim’s pickup and drove away in a northern direction.

The victim said two of the suspects had dark complexions and one was wearing black cargo pants. The third suspect had a light complexion and wore a white T-shirt.

Police found the vehicle about an hour later, abandoned in the same area.

Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating.
