Two Suspects Arrested in Mini World Robbery

Detectives on St. Croix arrested two men believed to be involved in the daylight robbery of the Mini World gift store in the Sunny Isles Shopping Center, according to the V.I. Police.

Detectives said a third suspect has been identified and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Police arrested of 34-year-old Sheldon Shallow at a residence in Estate Strawberry about 6 a.m. Friday. Kimo Innis, 22, was arrested at a residence in Old Castle Coakley just before 7 a.m. the same day.

Detectives said a third man, Larry Williams, fled to the mainland sometime after the robbery. His arrest warrant has been entered into the National Crime Information Center database.

Shallow and Innis each were placed on $250,000 bail and remanded to the custody of the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending their advice of rights hearing.

The Mini World store was robbed about 9:45 a.m. Sept. 12. Police at that time said four masked suspects were involved. The security guard was hit on his head with a blunt object, but no shots were fired and no one else was injured. The suspects broke several glass cases, removed jewelry and fled the scene in a maroon Ford SUV, according to witnesses.
