Police Investigate Two Burglaries

Police on St. Croix are investigating two cases of burglary that occurred Thursday, according to the V.I. Police Department.

The first crime place at about 1:20 a.m. Thursday in Estate Richmond. Officers were dispatched to investigate a burglary that just occurred at a private residence. The female victim told police she got up in the middle of the night and saw a male intruder standing in her living room. When the suspect saw the victim looking at him he fled the house.

Police said no items were taken and no one was injured.

About an hour later in Estate Grove Place police were dispatched to investigate another burglary. The victim told police she secured her house and went to bed. At about 2:30 a.m., she said someone was trying to get into the home. She noticed a window on the north side of the home was damaged and her front gate was open. Two minors who were also in the home said they saw a man trying to crawl through a window. He threatened their lives before fleeing the area.

Nothing was taken in this burglary and no one was injured.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau are following up both cases.
