Detectives from the Juvenile Investigation Bureau are asking for the public’s support in finding 16-year-old Terrika Alexander, who left from the Girls Group Home on St. Croix on May 15 and did not return. The V.I. Police Department also reminds residents that anyone found to be harboring or hiding the missing teen may face criminal charges.
Detectives have been looking for Alexander for several days since being notified she was missing by the group home. According to officials at the Department of Human Services, Alexander is a “frequent runaway.”
St. Croix Police Chief James Parris said minors who do not have adult supervision have a greater chance of getting into situations they are not prepared to handle.
“Even though Terrika Alexander is labeled as a ‘runaway,’ it is imperative that we locate her as soon as possible for her own safety,” Parris said.
Alexander is 6 feet tall and weighs 190 pounds. She has short black hair and may be wearing a weave, a wig or extensions in her hair. She is originally from St. Thomas. According to reports, VIPD officers spotted Alexander in the company of another female in the Harbor View Apartments last weekend.
Anyone who sees Alexander or knows her whereabouts can contact the Juvenile Investigation Bureau at 1-340-778-2211.
