Nazareth by the Sea Episcopal Church recently spearheaded the formation of the Nazareth Rays Boosters to support student athletes at Ivanna Eudora Kean High School. Rotary Club of St. Thomas East is partnering in this effort; IEKHS is their adopted school.
Parents and friends are not always available at game time to support these students, so all members of the Estate Nazareth community, alumni of the school and all sports lovers are invited to become boosters to show these young people that their efforts in making good choices are appreciated. Basketball games are held at 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
An athletic awards banquet will honor the student athletes at the end of the spring semester. Businesses and organizations are invited to hang promotional banners until the end of 2013 in the IEKHS gym. Proceeds from the banners will fund the athletic awards event.
Banner prices are:
4′ x 8′ $500 sponsorship plus $160 production cost = $660
4′ x 6′ $300 sponsorship plus $120 production cost = $420
4′ x 4′ $150 sponsorship plus $80 production cost = $230
