With the loss, the defending champions, the New Vibes, will need help from the HT Victory if they are to qualify for this year’s club championship. The Victory plays Raymix Tuesday night at the Lionel Roberts Stadium. The Raymix would need a win in order to edge the New Vibes for the second place spot.
The New Vibes were reduced to 10 men mid-way in the first half when Idris Brice was red carded after receiving his second caution. The tensely contested match saw limited chances as both teams played excellent defense. The New Vibes has 34 points while the Raymix has 32.
