Dorcas I. Griffin Dies

Dorcas I. Griffin died on Aug. 22.
She is predeceased by her mother, Evelyn Rivers; father, Patrick Rivers; and husband, Henry Griffin. She is survived by sons: Kirthley, Theodore, George and David Griffin; daughters: Sandra Griffin-David, Kathleen Anthony and Dorothy Pinney; grandchildren: Tsean Walters, Sheneice Griffin, Trexis Griffin Abena and Leij Griffin, Keisha Griffin-Petersen, Lavern and Osbourne Anthony, Lauren Rivers, Marva, Chanelle and Candice Pinney, Paula Marsha, and Glenroy Griffin, Lornette and Andrea Liburd, Thomas Griffin, Janice, Carla Laurel, Latisha, Alex and Diedric Hanley and Priscilla Liburd-Thompson; 10 great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law: Maritza Griffin, Randy Griffin and Kathy Griffin; sons-in-laws: Hugh David, Carlton Pinney and Osbourne Anthony; nieces: Shirley Powell, Alsha Flectsha, Ideta Rivers and Annette Harris; nephews: Westers, Harry and Clifford Rivers; great nephew, Attny. Clive Rivers; caretaker, Lucretia Marte; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, at First Wesley Ann Church in Contant. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay. Funeral arrangements are by Turnbull’s Funeral Home.
