ODarie Massiah, 22, and Genesis Casanova, 21, both of St. Croix, were arrested about 5 a.m. Monday and charged with kidnapping and robbery.
Police said in a press release issued Monday that an 18-year-old male was allegedly assaulted and forced at gunpoint to drive to his home in Estate Barren Spot to give them valuables.
The victim told police he was in Estate Castle Coakley when Massiah allegedly punched him in his face. Massiah, who was accompanied by Casanova, allegedly then demanded money but the victim told them he did not have any.
After driving to his home, the victim said he gave the suspects several pieces of silver jewelry and a laptop, valued at $750. Both suspects then left the area on foot, he said.
The victim was treated for lacerations to his face and neck at the Juan F. Luis Hospital.
Detectives located the suspects in Estate Castle Coakley at about 1:30 p.m. Monday. Both suspects were arrested placed on a $75,000 bail each and remanded to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending their court appearance.
