Owen Browne was arrested about 4 p.m. Saturday in connection with a vehicular fatality that occurred on St. Croix in February 2011.
Police said Browne allegedly left the scene after fatally striking a 40-year-old man who died from his injuries.
The fatal accident occurred in Estate Calquhoun on Farrelly Soto Avenue near the bridge.
Browne was arrested on a warrant and charged with negligent homicide, involuntary manslaughter, reckless driving, speeding, failure to report an accident and leaving the scene of an accident, according to a release from the Police Department.
Bail for Browne was set at $75,000 and he was remanded to the custody of the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending his court appearance.
Police spokesman Melody Rames said she had no further information on the case.
