Police Arrest Suspect in Wednesday Robbery

St. Croix police arrested 24-year-old Dave Monseque Friday and charged him with first-degree robbery after police say he was identified as the person who robbed Parris Tees and Novelties in Estate Strawberry at gunpoint on Wednesday.

Police said the two suspects allegedly walked into the store at about 2 p.m. Wednesday. One suspect pointed a gun at an employee and demanded cash, which she gave him. The suspects fled the store on foot. Witnesses said the pair ran in the direction of the Baron Spot Mall.

Monsegue was arrested just minutes before noon, and held on a $75,000 bail, which he was unable to post. He was taken to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending further court action.
