The Friends of the St. Thomas Public Libraries (FOSTPL) invites the community to participate in the National Education Association’s (NEA) “Read Across America Day” from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 2, at Dockside Bookshop at Havensight.
"Read Across America" is traditionally held on March 2, the birth date of the late Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as "Dr. Seuss" in tribute to his many works.
It is hoped that the event will encourage continued support of the territory’s independent booksellers (Undercover Books & Gifts on St. Croix and Dockside Bookshop on St. Thomas), which are key adjuncts to school, university and public libraries.
