Community Foundation V.I. Announces Availability of 2012 Mini-Grants

The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) announces the launch of its 2012 Mini-Grant Program, which was established 16 years ago by CFVI to offer support to school-based groups, community organizations, non-profit groups and individuals who propose innovative programs that support the mission of the foundation.
"These grants, which range from $250 to $1,000, enable hard-working volunteers to provide services to Virgin Islands’ children in after-school and summer programs," said CFVI’s President Dee Baecher-Brown. "In keeping with the mission of CFVI, the projects that receive funding will have a direct impact on the lives of children and families from St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John. We look forward to this annual awarding of the mini-grants."
Completed applications for 2012 mini-grants must be postmarked or faxed by Wednesday, Feb. 29. Successful applicants will be required to submit a brief written report, receipts for expenditures and, if possible, contribute visual documentation, on the use of the grant at the end of the funding period.
Interested parties may go to the Web site www.cfvi.net under the grants section to download the form.
Application forms may also be obtained by sending a request to mquetel@cfvi.net. Hard copies of the application can be picked up at the following locations:
On St. Thomas: CFVI Office, Royal Dane Mall, Suite 2 C, Upstairs; The Family Connection Center, Vitraco Mall Building, 1 Bay 4A
On St. Croix: Chamber of Commerce, 3009 Orange Grove, Suite 12
On St. John: Connections, Cruz Bay
