Colonel Bernard Warrington Jr., native-son of St. Croix and son of Martha J. Mills, is currently the deputy commander of the 45th Sustainment Brigade, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, which will deploy once more in January to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His brigade is responsible for provisioning tactical and operational logistics.
He is a graduate of St. Croix Central High School and his education credentials includes a Masters of Business Administration, Inter-American University, Puerto Rico, and certification as a Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt practitioner. His 22 years of service include command, troop and staff assignments to Fort Benning, Operation Southern Watch; Fort Hood, Operation Stabilization Forces IV (Bosnia Herzegovina); Fort Campbell, Operation Iraqi Freedom I and IV; Forces Command; and Pentagon andthe 110th Congress as a U.S. Senate legislative fellow.
He is also an ordained minister and author of “Going Beyond Measure—Intrepidity.” In 2007, he founded “Faith To Change (www.faith2change.com) (” a 501(c)(3) public charity whose vision is to inspire love, faith and abundant living. Faith To Change Inc. provides inspirational messages, counseling, life coaching and mentoring. It promotes literacy and distributes free inspirational books to service members and to the incarcerated, and conducts college preparatory seminars.
