Hannibal Christopher Rouse Sr. Dies at 78

Hannibal Christopher Rouse Sr., also known as "Hammie," of Estate Sion Hill died on Dec. 25. He was 78 years old.
He is survived by his daughters: (Carol) Jeanette, Paulette, Carlene, Marva (Tressy), Glenice (Glen), Zelda, Calicia, Gloria, Jasmine and Cynthia; sons: Everton, Collinston (Larry), Mervin Sr., Maxwell (Steve), Lanville and Hannibal Jr. (Junie); grandchildren: Annette (Denny), Charlene, Erica, Travis, Tonika, Dwight, Leonard, Darren, Deneen, Cleveland Jr. (CJ), Collincia, Rashema, Alex, Cozette, Mervin Jr., Ebony, Madison, Maxwell Jr., Miranda, Anton, Danielle, Nancy, Naomi, Natisha, Lanyce, Jalisa, Hakeem, D’ Andre, Andre, Jamal, Sharneke, Kadeem, Rashad, Avery, Antoniette, Jacena, Che Guevar, Marchall, Jalen and Elaine; 27 great-grandchildren; and many great- great grandchildren.
He is also survived by daughters-in-law: Jacqueline, Cecilia, Odelia and Jaimaine; sons-in-law: Charles and James; nieces: Cecilia (Emily), Carmen (Mintee), Phillida, Carlene, Cynthia, Sandra and Sylvia; nephews: Sinclair (Junie), Elwin, Bernell, Peter, David and Carl; great nieces: Desiree Matthew, Janelle King, Zeola Browne, Junella Browne and Miki; great nephews: Valentine (Larry) Henry, Akil King and Greame Matthew; special friends: Winston Solomon, John Webster, William, Grove, JP, Ebie, John, Doris, Rodney Solomon, Annetta and Rose; cousins and other relatives: Uncle Carlos, Auntie Muriel, Uncle Sinclair and Uncle Ronald; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, at the Ebenezer Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
