The V.I. Waste Management Authority has announced its holiday schedule for administrative offices, landfills, transfer station and household hazardous waste (HHW) facilities.
VIWMA administrative offices will be closed on the following days:
Monday, Dec. 26, Boxing Day/ Christmas 2nd Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., all districts
Monday, Jan. 2, New Year’s Day observed, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., all districts
Wednesday, Jan. 4, St. Croix Christmas Festival J’ouvert and Festival Food Arts and Crafts Fair from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., St. Croix only
Friday, Jan. 6, Children’s Parade Day, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., all districts
These closings are in coordination with the administrative leave and holiday schedule of the central government to allow the authority’s management and staff to participate in St. Croix’s festival activities.
VIWMA advises residents and haulers of the holiday schedule for the territory’s landfills and transfer station.
