'Drive-by' Robbery Nets $20, House Keys

Police on St. Croix are investigating a first-degree robbery that occurred in Estate Glynn Friday morning. The suspect allegedly robbed the male victim by digging into the pockets of his pants, stealing everything he had.

The victim told police that he was walking home in Estate Glynn, when a black Chevrolet Cavalier allegedly stopped next to him and the driver demanded “everything.”

According to police, the victim said he saw what appeared to be a Glock handgun, and he said the driver reached into the victim’s pockets and removed $20 and his house keys and left the area heading east. The victim said it was too dark to identify the driver or see what he was wearing.

This case will be followed up by the Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives at 712-6037, 712-6077 or those with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
