Man Shot in Leg By Unknown Suspects

St. Thomas detectives are actively investigating a shooting Tuesday in Estate Savan where a local man was shot in his leg by unknown suspects.

The incident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to a V.I. Police Department news release, officers were dispatched to Levkoi Strade to investigate the incident and found the victim at the scene.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was shot in the leg and told police that he was driving down Hill Street when he saw three unknown males wearing dark clothing walking in his direction.

The victim said he stopped his car, got out, and was told not to move.

“The victim ran, jumped over a wall and heard at least four gunshots,” the release said. “He realized that he was shot in the right leg.”

Officers searched for the suspects at the scene but did not find them.
