Man Arrested for Beating Wife, Strangling Son

Christian Plaskett was arrested twice by St. Thomas police this week and charged with domestic violence for assaulting his wife and son.

According to a V.I. Police Department news release, Plaskett was arrested shortly before 11:30 p.m. Monday. Plaskett’s wife told detectives that her husband punched her in the face and body Sunday, leaving visible bruises, then strangled his adult son on Monday, and threatened his other children.

Plaskett has been charged with simple assault and battery domestic violence, disturbance of the peace domestic violence and aggravated assault and battery domestic violence. He was denied bail due to the nature of the crimes.
