Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen announced today that her offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holidays.
“As much as we enjoy Thanksgiving Day for the wonderful meal and the festivities, I encourage all to reflect on the true meaning of the holiday. We all know that these are challenging times and many of us have to do more with less. I am confident that we will get through these difficult times if we do it together. As Caribbean people, we come through for each other even during the darkest of times and we must hold true to the tradition of caring and sharing with one another and remember that gratitude means taking nothing for granted,” said Congresswoman Christensen.
“We in the Virgin Islands have so much to be thankful for. We are blessed to live in one of the world’s most beautiful places and to be surrounded with a diversity of good and caring people. We should indeed count our blessings for yet another year of good living with our family and our friends,” Christensen said. “Let us also pray for the safe return of our sons and daughters in the Virgin Islands National Guard and the US Armed Forces who are serving our country abroad. On behalf of my family and staff, I extend a happy, festive and safe Thanksgiving to each and everyone in the Virgin Islands community!”
The Delegate’s offices will re-open on Monday, Nov. 28.
