Committee on Human Services, Recreation and Sports
Agenda:
The committee will convene to receive testimony on the status of the Senior Citizens’ Program under the administration of the Department of Human Services and to receive testimony on Bill No. 29-0159.
2 p.m.
Bill No. 29-0159 – An Act amending Title 3 V.I.C., chapter 1, to re-establish the Virgin Islands Commission on Aging with the Office of the Governor.
6 p.m.
The committee will receive testimony on and consider Bill No. 29-0108.
Bill No. 29-0108 – An Act authorizing the governor to negotiate for the purchase or exchange of real property on St. Thomas for a car racing track and for other related purposes
The committee will also receive testimony on the status of the Horse Racing Industry in the territory.
Tuesday, Oct. 18

Agenda:
The committee has scheduled a Fall Health Fair to provide complimentary health services to include: HIV testing, blood pressure screening, cholesterol screening, adult immunization, dental assessment, eye exams, blood glucose testing and glaucoma screening.
