Janiah Peters, 18, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery domestic violence after he allegedly assaulted his mother and sister during a dispute.
Peters was arrested by St. Thomas police at approximately 12:30 p.m. Saturday. According to a V.I. Police Department news release, Peters punched his sister several times and pushed his mother during a dispute that happened at the family’s home in Estate Bovoni Housing Community.
Peters was also charged with destruction of property domestic violence. His bail was denied due to the nature of the crime. He has been remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
