Police Issue Wanted Poster for Rape Suspect

Wilston Jn.Baptiste is wanted in connection with a rape that occurred in August (Photo VIPD) The V.I. Police Department on Monday issued a wanted poster for Wilston Jn.Baptiste, wanted on first-degree rape charges for an incident that occurred in August.

According to police, detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in locating Jn. Baptiste who is 46-years-old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has a dark complexion, a clean-shaven head and no facial hair.

According to investigators, Jn.Baptiste frequents Croixville, Mutual Homes and Mt. Pleasant West communities on St. Croix. Officers also said that Jn.Baptiste may be on St. Thomas or St. John and attempting to leave the Virgin Islands.

Anyone who has recently seen or knows the whereabouts of Jn.Baptiste, is urged to contact investigators immediately at 712-6077, 712-6037 or they can call Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Furthermore, police said that anyone found to be assisting or harboring Wilston Jn.Baptiste can face criminal charges.
