A local musician wanted for domestic violence was arrested Sunday evening after turning himself in to police on St. Thomas.
Alexie Bute, 24, was wanted for third-degree assault/domestic violence in connection with a Sept. 4 incident in which Bute was alleged to have assaulted his girlfriend, threatened her with a gun, damaged her property and damaged her home in Lindbergh Bay. Police issued a wanted poster for Bute’s arrest on Friday, and he turned himself in two days later, according to a news release from the V.I. Police Department.
He was arrested by officers from the Domestic Violence Unit at approximately 8 p.m. Sunday, and charged with disturbance of the peace domestic violence, aggravated assault and battery domestic violence, and destruction of property domestic violence.
